I have two LO’s to share today, one using the November kit and one using the December kit. The LO with the November kit is based on the latest Sketchabilities sketch:
And with the December kit, one of my fav photos from Christmas last year. And can you tell I have been inspired by Hayley’s fabulous style in my LO?
I used the super fun November kit “Rock Star Stuff” for the latest sketch over at Sketchabilities, and I thought it was perfect for this photo of me and my lovely Godson who I spent a little time with when I went back to Sweden a few months back. Here’s the sketch I used:

My computer has died so no detail shots today, but check back later next week and I will hopefully have some detail shots added!
I have to admit, that I have a very hard time throwing away useable scraps. If you are working with a Kit, it’s a good idea to keep those scraps stored with your Kit and next time you do a layout, find fun ways to use them on your page. For this layout, I had several strips of paper that were left over from cutting some of the papers for my other pages. I arranged the different strips under my photo and the text banner piece to create my page design. This gave me a great base design, and then I used some of the stickers and embellishments from the Kit to finish my layout.
I knew I couldn’t create with this Kit, without doing a Disney layout, using the fun Say Cheese papers and sticker sheet from Simple Stories. The sticker sheet included in the Kit, gives you great options for embellishing your pages. I thought it would be fun to mix in a lot of the stickers in my page design and I added pop dots under several of them for some dimension. I also used the Hot Diggity Studio Calico spray mist with a Chevron mask, that I had in my stash. Once the mist was dry, I outlined the shapes with a fine point Black Sharpie for added definition.

Other than Scrapbooking, I enjoy cooking, reading, spending time with family, and watching movies with my hubby.

I love the mix of Pink Paislee and Simple Stories in the Kit. And with so many fun pieces in the Pink Paislee embellishment pack, I knew I wanted to add a lot of layers to my page. I layered the papers behind my two photos and use some of the paper pieces and vellum pieces. I also added some star pieces to my layout and thought it would be cute to dot the “I”‘s in my title, with one of the stars.
