Another LO from Manda!

wellread

This one was a lot of fun to make! I cut pieces of out the My Minds Eye paper and layered left over pieces from my other project underneath. Because this layout is about reading I decided to use the alphabet stickers from the add-on in a different way and use them as blocks to fill in the spaces I had not cut out. I do not do a lot of journalling but thought it would be fun for this one and broke it up in to several different parts and then because I LOVE enamel dots, I just went crazy filling in the remaining spaces. (note the flair badge on this layout is from my own stash).

More inspiration from Manda

For this layout I have used the main and the add-on.

The photo on this layout had a lot of white space on the left hand side so I decided to use the cut-aparts on the Maggie Holmes Inspiration paper to cover it. I chose the words I wanted to use and then to give a bit of dimension I added some foam dots to some of them. I also love the camera print from this collection but didn’t want to take away from the pale dreamy feeling I was going for so I fussy cut one out and again used foam dots to layer it over the twine I had wrapped around the page.

I’m very excited to have Manda on board for March! Here is her first LO with the colourful kit “All Mashed Up”:

Totem Poles

Thank you to Crazy Mondays for asking me to be a guest this month. I was so excited when I received this kit because of the bold colours which I love.
I had a lot of fun making this layout. I decided to cut up the triangles on the Dear Lizzy paper and add them as a kind of embellishment by sticking them on individually and then hand stitching around them with embroidery floss from my stash in colours that coordinated with the other papers on the page. I really love how it turned out. To make my paper go further I cut the centre out before layering the cardstock so I could use it to cut up the triangles and also to use the b-side to mount the photos. I still have some left over for another project!
